Opioid Resources

The Alaska Dental Society has developed guidelines for its members to aid in the proper prescribing of opioids and alternative pain control methods. We welcome other prescribers to utilize the guide where appropriate. Please direct any questions on the guideline, usage of the prescription database (AKPDMP), or prescriptions in general to Dr. Logan

A reminder all prescribers with a DEA registration number (can write for controlled substances) must register with the Alaska Prescription ​Drug Monitoring Program. The application must be done online at alaska.pmpaware.net/identities/new and you will be required to verify your identity and email address.
